Archeology WoW: World of Warcraft’s Latest Profession Will Send You on an Exciting Adventure

The Cataclysm expansion pack has brought with it lots of exciting things to the World of Warcraft universe. One of these is the Archeology addon that provides further variety to the current lineup of available WoW professions. In creating Archeology WOW designers have included bits and pieces of history to test the players’ knowledge during the game. It is quite different from First Aid and other professions that reward the player with better skills or useful items that can be used during the game. Archeology does not enable these until the late stages where armors and weapons can be discovered. The fairest comparison that can be made is probably with Fishing. Although it’s inexpensive, patience is needed as it takes a while to go up the higher levels.

The Archeology Wow profession starts with training in a major city using your Hearthstone. A mentor will guide you along the way. You will need to acquire a few necessities like a shovel for digging when looking for clues and other items. At first, there won’t be many sites for you to visit. In later stages, their numbers will increase as new sites are unlocked.

There are no overlaps between the minimap and Archeology WoW map indicators. Utilize your Survey ability honed from training to commence the digs. A red in the survey map indicates that you are far from the site while yellow says you’re getting there and green means you are at the right spot. Up to 3 points can be earned for each site.

The fragments relate to the rich history of the game. All the races have their own tablets and these must be combined exclusively to produce the much needed information and item.

The Archeology WoW addons make this profession easier for the players. For instance, there is the Assistant which provides a comprehensive list of dig sites according to the order in which they must be reached. This allows players to plan ahead and level up faster.
